Indiana Chip and Detective Teddy: Chapter Ten

\ Chapter 10 \ To the T-Rex

When Chip explained what was going to happen to the planet, and when he had met Simba, they went off looking for the T-Rex.

The Rocket was only one mile away from space, and every 5 seconds it had done 1 mile. 5 seconds later the T-Rex Shouted "We're in space!"
"Hear that" Said Chip to the others, "thats the T-Rex," Ted said "So were nearly there then."  "Probably" Said Chip.
Chip said "O.K lets go left" But when he and Simba went left, Ted, who didn't know his left to right, went right.
"Hey guys!" Shouted Ted "Where are you?" "Where are you?" Chip ran to where Ted was, Simba behind him. Then they all went into a huge room.
"Hello," said a voice. It was the T-Rex. It took out its sword, and Pointed it at Chip, Chip did the same, but his sword was titchy. Look at the diagram below.

END CHAPTER TEN

Notes: The T-Rex is a very hands-on sort of guy, it seems. I would have an underling shout out when we had left Earth, but he prefers to do it himself.
Ten year-old me obviously had a poor understanding of how to describe length or distances, hence the need for a diagram. It's a shame the literary world never adopted this style.

"After it was shattered, Narsil - the sword that was broken - was this length:
----------------------------
But when it was forged anew as Anduril it was this length:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------"

Tolkien missed a trick, there.
