Indiana Chip and Detective Teddy: Chapter Five

/Chapter 5/ From Hedge to Woods

2nd day: The hedge to the woods

The hedge too the Wood was easy. All they had to do was climb the hedge and walk a little way. The problem was, it was an electrick hedge to keep rabbits out.

Luckily Chip could fly!
Once over the hedge, Chip said, "I can see the woods from here,"
"Goody," said Ted. "That's where we live,"
"Yep," said Chip, as they walked, "We can get some food there."
"Yippee" said Ted
They walked for ages and ages, and at last, they came to the wood.
"We better get some sleep here," said Chip.
"What," said Ted "Here!"
"Sure," said Chip, and went to sleep.

END CHAPTER FIVE

Notes: Apparently I predicted the dreary monotony that is travelling through countryside in a way that would not appear in literature until the final Harry Potter. And why on earth is it taking Chip and Ted days to get back to their home when they seem to make it to the 'crime scene' in mere moments in chapter three? Ten year-old me is slacking.

That said, I'm pretty sure the whole build-up of scaling the electric fence only to make it a non-event with an easy solution was done on purpose. I find that sort of thing hilarious, even now. Good work, ten year-old me.
