Indiana Chip and Detective Teddy: Chapter Four

Chapter 4/ We Start Off

1st Day: The countryside to the hedge.

When Chip was following the T-Rex he had learnt were its house was, so he knew were it was. But, they were miles away from it. The first step was to the hedge, but they would have to go through the country first.
The country was long and dangerous, there were snakes, eagles and wolves. But if they had to rescue someone, they had to!
If this was a mile -> -------- this would be the length they had to walk -> ---------------------------------------[picture of trees] through the first 3 stages..

Chip and Ted travalled for mile,s the wolves were easy, and they hadn't seen any snakes or eagles.

Just when they reached the hedge, what came out, but a snake!
"Stay back!" said Chip. "I'll handle this."
He took out his whip and whipped the snake, the snake looked puzzled for a moment, then hit the whip away.
"Oh no" groaned Ted.
But Chip wasn't beaten yet, he pulled a stick out of the hedge and hit it off the snake.
The snake stopped moving for a second then went away.
"Phew," said Chip "That was a hard battle."

END CHAPTER FOUR

Notes: My grandparents had a pretty awesome garden - decent size with a lot of various plants, trees and hedges. I imagine the inspiration for this chapter (and the next few) came from my cousin and I playing out adventures with our soft toys, then in the evening before bed writing them down in our respective stories.

Recreating the section describing the distance was a bit difficult for this blog, so here's a picture:
